About

Directions is an artist-led screening series taking place at various arts and community venues in Plymouth, UK in 2019 & 2020. In the lead up to Mayflower 400 commemorations, Directions aims to be a critical platform for international artist film practice with a broadly decolonial perspective, addressing themes including migration, futurity, and resonating legacies of settler colonialism and empire.

Initiated by Marcy Saude and produced by Phil Rushworth, guest programmers and workshop leaders will include Kaz Rahman, Bernardo Zanotta, Languid Hands, Christina Battle, Imperfect Cinema, and Black Quantum Futurism.

Directions is supported by Plymouth Culture, the Mayflower 400 Cultural Fund, and Arts Council England.
